Exhibition Catalogue: Van Gogh. The Stories of One Painting
An intimate exhibition dedicated to a single work whose uniqueness is evidenced by its artist's name. The subtle landscape of the Dutch countryside is an invitation to get to know the earliest period of Vincent van Gogh's work. It is characterized, among other things, by his sensitive attention to nature. This thematic modesty and compositional simplicity build a mood and intimacy, and even a kind of idyllicity.
The second part of the composition focuses on the title stories of one painting: from showing the history of the painting and other works from van Gogh's last Dutch studio, through the story of the successive owners of our painting, including the purchase for the Warsaw collection, to the most recent history related to research and conservation.
